A Poem by Andromeda
"

best ive done this week, i believe.

"

She drew the skip card.

Drew it once and knew no more

Knew no more in the darkness around

Like a net to catch the rain

Let it rain let it rain

And let it rain

Drew it once and knew no more

Knew no more

New no more, old like the wrinkles

That ate her away when she woke up

And greeted the mirror

Cringed in the mirror to greet the day.

Knew no more in the darkness around

That claimed its name in shadows untamed

Phantoms of the moon lying to her

Soon soon soon

And light will come to rescue you—

If night doesn’t last forever,

If the sun comes out never.

Let it rain let it rain

And let it rain

Cringed in the mirror to greet the day

If the sun comes out never.

Like a net to catch the rain,

But nothing

Not even strongest steel

Can catch the rain

When the mirror is cracked

As alligator

As seventy-hundred years bad luck,

And she

And I

And the shadow in the mirror

Could never catch the rain.

And she wanted to be

Peter Pan

That claimed name in shadows untamed.

She drew the skip card.

I think you have a cool idea here. Not sure if it is one of your best. Definetly shows your Poe influence. Was just wondering if you are trying to change the direction of your writing or trying something different for a bit?
