Artichoke

Artichoke

A Poem by Andromeda
"

i promise im not going insane. im just writing really really really odd poems, like it or not. I'm in a celebratory mood, and wierd poems are the result.

"

When it came to life,

She was an artichoke,

And when it came to artichokes,

She was a dove;

When it came to artichokes,

She was

(Had no one to)

Love,

And when it came to life,

There was no strife

And all was ripe

To peel away

And begin again:

Green faint skin.

When it came to life,

She watched the doves

And loved/love/loves.

When it came to life,

She was an artichoke.

When it came to artichokes,

She was the heart

The best part

And the dove to fly away.
