Bullets Never Die

Bullets Never Die

A Poem by Andromeda
"

idk....a blend of Bonnie and Clyde w/ something about a mid-life crisis. hahahah really random. all came from me trying to take a nap with too much sunlight...yes....

"

She had a crazed sleep in the light:

Mid-life delight.

One last splash in the dark,

One last glimpse before

Giving in

Before what she saw

As the stark.

She had a crazed sleep in the light,

Felt the shadows,

Felt the covers pulling tight

Of sleeping the no-more-dreams

That come within the night.

Wanted one more

Mid-life delight.

And that is where the bank came in,

For she’d always

Envisioned a life of Bonnie—

Had just never given in

Before,

But

This was her

Last

Grand

Tour,

So what was there to stop her?

Even with no Clyde beside,

What was there to stop her?

She laughed and blazed

Her early-wrinkles

(Scarface indeed)

Mid-life delight.

She laughed and blazed and

Shot out the night that threatened to overtake.

She had a

First and last

Crazed sleep in the light,

Leaned her head against the wall,

Fell through and never found,

Those fears which her future had destined and bound.

And she died

Never found--

No Clyde to hold,

And only that last part

Of her story ever told:

That crazed sleep in the light

In the lights of a bullets eye,

Fearing the age that turns to night,

And she whispered as she went:

And they say

Bullets never die,

But

This was her

Last

Grand

Tour—

Bonnie

At the age of forty-four.
