Primitive Rose

Primitive Rose

A Poem by -Scribe in Style-

Plants: the most independent creation.
Have you stopped to notice their mechanism for retention?
They uptake water from the soil,
notice: just enough so not to spoil.

An example of trust and unique character -
an absorptive sponge acting like a secretive letter.

It takes in what it is given,
in which ever direction it is driven,
it will succumb to the elements of its invader
and merge itself as though a benefiting inheritor.
It cares not just for it's natural beauty
but adapts to the colours of its company.
It cares not for its outstanding charisma
and punctual sharp shape of desire,
instead it defines it's nature
with that which can harness and feature;
it will ingest the mood of it's pigment intruder,
seep up the intrusive dye shrewder,
be engulfed by the attacker's alluring attitude
yet immerse itself with a display of gratitude.
It plunges into a pool of emotion
and assimilates messages as deep as the ocean.
