The Flow of Matter

The Flow of Matter

A Poem by AnnaMae
"

Thoughts of myself in relation to the world.

"
Organic material is the essence of who I am.
Each particle existing in eternity,
and although the form of each one changes,
they are never absent.

My body will return to the soil,
my bones will mingle with the worms,
and my soul will dissipate into a cloud of dust
destined to be blown away.
I will live on,
only in separated parts,
different from how I am familiar with them now.

I am a lover,
I am a stranger,
and where I am blown,
I will bloom again.

I am everything all at once.

A piece of me destined to be mixed with other plants,
soils,
people.
Energy is what I embody
and energy is what I exude.

I will rain down upon the Earth,
upon the vines laced with my atoms.
I will sprout among the flowers with vibrant colors
and my own three petaled stem.

With radiance I will grow,
turning my face towards the sun,
embracing its warmth,
meditating as it replenishes me
as I carry on through eternity.
