Shouldn't Have to Live without him

Shouldn't Have to Live without him

A Poem by Shantel Moore
"

when parents try to decide what they think is right for us teens.

"
All we did was drive to school
Maybe you shouldn't have
All he did was drop me off
Maybe you should have asked
All i did was get in the car
He could have taken you away
But he didn't.
How long have you been dating?
About four months, you would think if
anything he would have taken me away a long time ago
THATS NOT THE POINT
Then what is the point?
Your only 17, you don't know anything
Oh and when you were 14 you did?
Don't bring up my past this is about you not me
At least i was smarter then you were.
That was a different time
Ya no kidding. Your trying to fix your mistakes
threw me.
How could you say or think that?
Because i know its the truth.
I'm only trying to protect you
How? Taking my freedom?
You know i hate doing that?
Then i should get to keep my phone?
You know i can't
Then let me see him
I can't.
I shouldn't have to live without him
You'll see him again
When????
