Heels

Heels

A Poem by Carlton Rolle
"

A short work vent....

"

Time is not my own today.

Reported for duty.

Blanking the punch-in.

Waiting for my daily order.

Waging recklessly to the stop sign.

I can't go further than that.

The labels are blisters just with some heat.

Swollen ankles and smashed heels make for an even longer day.
