Maniac

"

I can no longer ignore.

Determined to explore.

A treasure must be hidden.

If not then why am I driven?

What I’m willing to do to attain, hasn’t been ordained.

And not likely at this pace.

There’s a need to charge the race.

It’s based on cause and effect.

Not neglect of the given moment.

I’ve wasted too much time.

Trying to calculate a rhyme.

These events weren’t supposed to last.

But they’ve become the biggest blast.

Impels me understand my way.

Helps them feel at bay.

My reason is the beacon.

Far ahead of its season.

Unless you figure in the maniac within us.

Memories become hazy.

I would be sane and you would be crazy.
