Looted life

Looted life

A Poem by Sofiko Emiry
"

"Robbers"

"
Why we have roles in this life
Why we have scenes at all
Why we regard them as sane
Why we don't find them damn old
I want to be Hamlet or portray
Isolde
In the same time want to be all
Why not?!
Why I'm not allowed to be all
Or why I should pick one role
And play it always
At work or at home
Why I should choose an image
Of Pygmalion
To do it myself alone
And after all
They say
You can not.
We will continue
You sit down and mourn about your
Resurrected stone
O my god
So restrained and restricted is this world
Why so?!
Why fall of scenes or role refusals
Are not accepted from me... I opt
To play them all or..
Not at all.
Why should I carry it abhorred...
Columns of faces with single forms
As fooled soldiers are chanting aplomb
Get along or get out, get lost
From our ways of single roles.
