Sunset As Light Fades

A box.

Locked inside, emotion;

All the emotions of the world.

 

A key.

Around the neck of a demon.

Never to return from time’s dark swirl.

 

The world.

Without emotion it drives itself;

Trampling man and child alike.

 

The people.

No feelings to cry tears.

They push on if only in spite.

 

God.

Love and Justice He is.

Looks on the world, tears in His eyes.

 

His people.

They are a cancer to themselves.

And He watches as the world slowly dies.
