Pain in a Bottle

 

put it down, deep down,

inside a bottle, and let it drift

let it drift out to sea, let it float free

 

take them away, far away

within an envelope, seal it up

send it off to some distant place

 

find the way to breath inside

like a living being this dream

of everything we were and would be

 

just let it float away, oceans wide

no net to reel it back, away it goes

breaking under waves the bottle crashes open

it can sink below the waves that wash away

the ache that resides, can now hide

I fall into a movie that crushed me the opening was water shadow waves across the ceiling the whole room, the poem put me drowning into that pain of a room of your bottle, pain in a bottle a song rolls around around marbling the meat, but that was time , not the nest, a cats eye moves,shadowing the floating, the tops of a waves crest hungry for your bottle, if only he had let the mackerel go ,paddle along side, pop the cork and toast, But a cat can't let a mackerel in claw go to dive or paddle into a bush burning or not. .Better yet a challenge dive deep deeper bottle and two glasses in hand, un corked in the deep would the pain flow around ,up, down, out, in?

Very strong write here. I love the color...i love the photo. But the meaning is most impressive.

Every year I go twice to my beloved Spain, and when me and my hubby had drunk a bottle of wine we do such a ritual to put a message in the bottle, and let the magical sea, do her work.... wherever it may be arrive, this poem, has such a flavor, and beauty in it... it touched me.

Made me remind a beautiful moment, and your words are stunning.
