How Long?

How Long?

A Poem by Marlena

How long?

How long must I wait to see your face again?

Your voice, always a hand to still my fears and aches

fades faster than sunlight in winter

My own eyes are blind to yours

When will I see you again?

How long must I wait to feel loved?

How long must I hurt without you?

I welcome the night

starlight brings visions of you, Love.

I see your face in shadows in my heart

How long must I wait to see you again, fully?

How long, Love?

How long?

I wait.

I'll wait for you.

When it comes to time and love...time has the time characteristics of a sea turtle. A minute seems like days. An hour seems like weeks. A day seems like a month. And a month seems like years! Yes, when in love one can never go long without seeing the reaffirmation that the one they love brings, when present. Another Excellent write, Aveira!

very well done!...so much longing, and soulful want poured out!...
sometimes the ones written in a few minutes time are the best!....

A little repetitive, and not very well-written. Even as a quick write it's quite low quality....sorry. : )
