The Day Before

The Day Before

A Poem by Marlena

Sweltering heat

the sun is angry and

the air is thick

overflown with shards of

you

you're clogging my thoughts

they break like old flowers

you grin

and say

"I know."

before kissing me into

blissfully cold mock-winter days.

So...it was really hot today, and I was kind of dying in the back seat of my mom's car while we got dunkin donuts, so I scribbled the first version of this down. I changed it a little while ago, and I think I like this version better. It's nicer XD Let me know what you think?
