Life as the Enemy

Life as the Enemy

A Poem by Space Enema

Life stinks like lit cigarettes
I ache for sleep and emptiness
Maybe I'll rest a century
Find a dark place and build a nest

Right now life is killing me
Society's the enemy
I hear my name called constantly
Just shut your mouth and let me be

People tend to rub me wrong
I try to dodge the writhing throng
Of empty headed idiots
That drag me down and drag me along

I need some space so I can breathe,
Somewhere I can find reprieve
Death may be my friend some day
But suicide is not for me

(2X)
Life is not what's killing me
Society's the enemy
I hear my name called constantly
Just shut your mouth and let me be
