Prodigal Son

Prodigal Son

A Poem by Spammy_J

I understand the prodigal son

His desire and longing for a grand adventure

To see, and smell, and taste the sun

What a world of love and splendor!

But out of lust a gold web is spun

That wraps a man in hope and pleasure

Those who have lied and scorned and stung

Are bound to spend and lose their treasure

I'm a nursing student and find the best way to relax from studying is to write. Whatever comes to mind goes onto paper; sometimes it's good, sometimes it's horrid, and occasionally it's grand. more..
