Heart Turned to Ice

Heart Turned to Ice

A Poem by Spirit <White Wolf>

Hear I lay,
all through the night.
Listening to,
the voices within.
As I toss and turn,
I feel the tears form at the edge of my eyes,
and I can't help but start to cry.
I miss his warm touch,
and his sly voice.
His loving words,
that always cut through the ice.
Now,
as I lay here,
and my body gets cold.
I can't help but wonder,
what i did wrong.
The one mistake,
that drove him away.
It eludes me
and hides in the back of my mind.
The voices won't tell me,
they just sit there and tease,
while I beg and plead.
So,
now here I lay,
in the darkness of light,
shying away from the light.
As my warm heart,
turns back into ice.
As my heart breaks,
and the pieces fall.
I just sit here and wait,
for death to call.
Longing for the darkness,to come envelope me,
once again.
Send me into the deep,
dark abyss.
Where this time,
I may not escape.
