Shattered Heart

Shattered Heart

A Poem by Spirit <White Wolf>

As I lay here,
my heart shatters and breaks.
Leaving behind,
Pieces in its wake.
Tears form,
at the edge of my eyes,
and I can't help,
but start to cry.
People leave,
and don't come back.
All they do,
is turn their back.
I just lay here,
breaking down.
Waiting for my heart,
to be safely bound.
So,
now my heart,
can't get hurt.
Now I just sit here,
and wait to die.
