Poem 27: Seeing Space For Myself

Poem 27: Seeing Space For Myself

A Poem by Spirit Of Poetry

Floating away, outside of the Earth,

Going to space for all of this money, was it worth spending?

Of course it was. Better than going to the beach, to surf,

Or having a game of tennis on the Astroturf,

For it was nice, to see the stars,

Better than these bloody rushing cars,

Making tracks on the streets,

While loud radios blast out their music, their horrific beats,

I loved going to space,

Being alone, from the rest of the human race,

Nobody could shout at me in space,

Because nobody can hear you scream in the vacuum,

Whether you're angry, or you are approached by doom,

Such a rare opportunity to go out in space,

And now I'm stuck,

All the spaceship controls aren't working,

I'm a sitting duck,

This won't be ending well,

Anybody, could tell.
