Poem 29: Summer's Sunset

Poem 29: Summer's Sunset

A Poem by Spirit Of Poetry

Settling down in my chair at sunset,

Afternoon and Night, have only just met,

After we've had a game a volleyball,

It is time to pack away the net,

Now I am chilled out with a drink at my side,

Is this the best it is going to get?

The sun is settling as nicely as am,

The connection between me and the seat,

It was like sticky jam.

I didn't want to move,

I couldn't move,

The sight dazzled me too much,

So as I continued to sit in my set,

Kind of a hypnotising effect,

I stop twiddling my thumbs,

I haven't seen a wonderful sight as such,

As this sight is as sweet as penuche.

Then the sunset is slowly fading away,

It is becoming night instead of day,

It is becoming colder,

Nice, the sight is becoming less,

It is time for me to go in, I guess.
