It's Her

It's Her

A Poem by Linzey
"

I'm trying to write a poem for a group piece that will be published in my school. It needs to be about myself pertaining to a Masquerade.

"

I can see her sitting in the corner now
She tries so hard to be ignored
It seems like an easy thing to do at such a majestic party
Faces being masked
Personalities changing for tonight

But hers, it's the same as always
So sad and alone
Not caring about herself but always about others
She needs someone to make her happy
Just one person who can show her that she matters
Can I?
As I walk closer I can see her eyes
They look so beautiful tonight, glowing yet filled with an unimaginable pain
Let me take away your fears, if only for this one night
Let me hold you close and have us sway to the words of this song
"Would you like to dance miss?"
All you have to do is say yes
So just this once do something spontaneous
It just might change your life forever

I like it a lot. Very nice. I like how you said someone needs to make her happy, and it made me think maybe as you said "it might just change your life forever" it made me think that this event could make her happy.

I really like this one, actually. I like how you're talking about you, but you're not yourself. It's really good.
