Me Being Aloof

"Me Being Aloof"

Love is painful and I bleed,
Love is destructive and I breathe
I get through barely each day,
I have obstacles in my way

My heart is shattered but I go on,
I just hope his honesty is not a con
My denial is non existent at this point,
So I move forward knowing that I have a chance that is not mute

I take his word as honest because I told him no lies,
He knows I'll find out just by looking in his eyes
He can't hide anything anymore,
Then I'd be literally straight out the door

He claims to love me as much as the other woman,
It's possible to love two at the same time, as I can
So I'll give him a fair chance and as long as he keeps with the truth,
We'll have no problems as I'll attempt to be aloof.
