Tension

A Poem by Delilah Dunn

Written Fall 2008

So it appears we're here again
Frustrated and tired
Out of my desperation I reach for you
Fingers outstretched
Awaiting connection with skin
Or heart

I long for the beginning
Do you remember how I made you smile?
Rays of joy and light
Flooding your eyes they shone on me
Until I felt love's precious glow
Or tingle

As we push and pull ourselves apart
An endless battle
Like children playing tug of war
My fingers find nothing
And I can't remember how it feels
To revel in your warmth
Or love

Well Written Indeed. I Could see this as a much longer poem actually if you wished to do so. I think you could pull it off : ) I Love how it seems like a montage in a sense. Meaning that there is a before and an after to the context and fulfillment of an emotion. This also is a great classic example of true beginnings and endings as a human being. People become something and then conclude as else and its just part of life.
Well Done. Overall I Like It and I see it as a possible inspiration to others and that deserves even more props : )

Very well written. It sucks when you once knew someone and then they changed.
