Glow

Glow

A Poem by Delilah Dunn
"

Written Fall 2008

"

I am light

Blooming outwards like stained glass liquified

And bursting forth

A sparkler held by the gentle hand of a child

Awakened by hope

And dancing upon a shining star

In the deep, velvet black of night

I like this one a lot. It says so much in such a short burst. I liked the rhythm and how the first and last lines rhymed, lyrically, and reflected in thought...

This made my eyes water a bit, I think mostly because i already knew this-and I'm so happy that you know it too. You are my star!
