Cards Of Life

Just a poem I made, took a little bit but I'm very happy with it and I hope you enjoy it!

Cards of Life

Some people live by destiny,
Others live like they where free.
Some people play the cards they are dealt,
Others tend to cheat.
They slide the card up their sleeve,
And then they get by easy.
But for those who play the hands they are dealt,
We don't always get by freely.
It seems as though destiny has placed a burden upon our faiths,
Then were asked by people,"Where's that smile on your face?".
We tell them that it's simple,
We tell them we don't care.
But secretly it's because those cards of life,
Bring us to our despair.
It's killing us on the inside,
The cards that we were dealt.
But yet, we follow the cards of life,
No matter of how we've felt.
And the ones who tell us to follow those cards
Are the ones make us decay.
Because they are the ones that slip the cards,
and watch us waste away.
But when I'm old and gone,
wasted and withered away.
I hope the ones that cheated,
Go and live strong and well.
For at least I played the game of life
With the cards that I was dealt.
