Poor Life Choices

Poor Life Choices

A Poem by SteveTarasev
"

Trapped by my calculated decisions. Boxed in by flawed plans of my own visions.

"
Trapped by my calculated decisions.
Boxed in by flawed plans of my own visions.
Lost in a maze of lies and deceptions.
Led  by my very own misconceptions.

My success a lonely tower of greed.
My shackles things I lusted but don’t need.
Wrapped in chains of my own indecisions.
Locked by my dreams in need of revisions .

Misled by those entrusted to advise.
On a journey leading to my demise.
Jaded by idols I was told to adore.
Shown to be hypocrites and nothing more.

A third of the way down my lonely path
All that I can do to not cry is laugh
