Bird Without Wings

Bird Without Wings

A Poem by StevenDanielb

this bird without wings.

in my hand.

this bird lies, not aside,

from the one who could not stand,

arrested in azure,

in attempt to begin anew,

i threw him from the roof

and hoped that he flew.

This bird without wings

he cannot stand.

he does not wish to lose

but he won't defend.

for he lost his sight

in a treacherous flight,

      in attempt..

            to restore,

                    to mend.

My feathered friend

perched upon the fence,

why do you just ignore,

When as one, solely,

we would sing our greatest score?

But this bird without wings,

he cannot soar.

    and for him...

           the bird...

               there is nothing more.

When we lose our raison d'etre all seems lost. I like your imagery and the metaphor.

Bird without wings is very helpless.
Sometimes we become helpless for the lack of certain organs or tools or artifacts.
Life becomes meaningless then.
I appreciate your write that speaks about the states of birds with and without wings.
