Winter Sunrise: Shatterford

Winter Sunrise: Shatterford

A Poem by StevieStar
"

A poem inspired by an early morning hike in winter. The sunrise was spectacular, as is often the case in this area of Worcestershire.

"
Cold morning mist
Crisp leaves underground
Daylight breaking, all around me

Beautiful stillness
And there, through the trees
Perfect red ball of light

Rippling orange clouds
Carpet the heavens, above
Nature's wondrous show

A mere fleeting glimpse
Dancing carnival of light
Soon fades to none but just a glow
