Friendship

Just a poem about friendships and how they can fall apart and come back to life :)

Friendship is like a flower, put it in darkness and it shall die,
Darkness comes in many forms: Hate, fear and lies.
So how can we cast this eternal darkness away?
How can we shun it from our world and change night to day?
There is only one way I say, and that is to lure out the sun,
Find the good in people and help keep away the darkness, then my friend you are done.
With your sun reach up your friendship and make it grow tall
Be prepared, for the darkness will return and you will fall.
Then who, who will be left to pick up the pieces?
Nobody, nobody is left because most people are like leaches.
They take and they take but what do they give back?
Nothing because they live off their slack.
But wait, what is that in the growing distance, a new sun?
Rejoice, the pieces are now mended and a new friendship has begun.
