Why did you stay home?

Why did you stay home?

A Poem by Cory Barrett

If we only knew then,
but you missed it.

Just like we knew you would,
shutter into a blank corner.

Protecting yourself,
from the kinetic.

Energy terrified you,
and you've missed it all.

Self fucked to hard,
potential pacified.

Damn if that isn't true. Lingering possibilities are the most depressing part of my life. Just got.. read more
damn! guess i'll go out tonight ;)))))))))) this is brutal says i! i really like how you separate kinetic and Energy ..it hooked me real good ...like the cliff of love ... it is terrifying to be called to fall in love ... so much at risk .. so much preceding experience or inexperience to overcome ... so sad what could of been ..... "pacified" ..funny how that chance seldom comes around twice with the same person ... hmmmmmm

E. Indeed you are right. 2nd chances on the good stuff are rare indeed.
wow. so good.
what else to say?

I mean, it can be interpreted of course but I see a huge miss here on someone's part because of their own quirks. be they what they may. but sad, needless to say, to miss out on something special
