Fairy-Tale Ending

The End

We’ve gone through this tale,
So many a time.
Though I start to pale,
You are still sublime.
I have to say goodbye,
Please do not cry,
I will always be with you,
Only dead like the dragons we slew.
Our time together is at an end,
You must go on alone, my friend.
With the help of everyone,
Your journey will soon be done.
Don’t ever forget about me,
Or our time fighting the deadly.
It’s important for you to know,
You are best with your bow,
And that one day you’ll say,
“I made everything okay.”
Every fairy-tale must conclude,
Now so does ours, please do not brood,
For you were always meant to be,
The hero who saved everyone…but me.
