A Poem by Amanda
"

Not sure what to call this, open to sugeestions

"

Sit and listen to my voice,

It tells a story for you to hear.

Close your eyes,

I’ll take you away, my dear.

Once there was a land,

Once lovely, now no more.

This pretty, pretty face,

Was ruined by a war…

Only three made it through,

A father, a daughter, and a man enticed.

The girl was only small,

Saved by the soon to be heart of ice.

They traveled far and wide,

Across their ruined home.

Searching for safety and peace,

The man and girl were alone.

The man was tempted by a crown,

It promised something to be admired.

He came to forget the life he once lived,

Forgetting the little girl turned vampire.

A thousand years they’ve lived,

He a king, She a queen.

In his writing she often reads,

“I’m sorry, Marceline.”

I enjoyed this one, though the rhyme and rhythm gets a little off to the end. I am not totally sure as to where you are taking this. But, for some reason, I think of the following title: A Sadly Happy After.
