Sweet Little Boy

Sweet Little Boy

A Poem by Amanda
"

I don't really know where this went but meh.

"
Such a sweet little boy,
With the rosiest cheeks,
His little body's chubby,
From all the sweets he sneaks.

His parents give him so much love,
Filling his head with every good thought,
They just can't resist when they see him,
Playing happily with toys they bought.

They're sure he's a good seed,
He will grow up successful and strong.
Well they should've taken heed,
In their eyes he turned out wrong.

Black hoodies and days of solitude,
He knows he's a failure so he doesn't try.
To them all he does is sit and brood,
To him their love was always a lie.

He was such a sweet little kid,
With rosy cheeks and the brightest smile.
His mother wonders where it's hid,
For neither parent has seen it in quite awhile.

Their once happy looks turn to scorn,
He knows they don't believe in him.
As a fire within begins to burn,
They watch the light in his eyes dim.

Such a sweet little boy,
With the rosiest cheeks,
Turned into a dark mess,
From all the secrets he keeps.

This was pretty crappy but I'm posting it anyway. I didn't really know where I was going with it so that might have been the problem.
