The Sting of Betrayal

Have you ever felt betrayed?
Like around every corner
Is a contradiction to what they say?
You're my best friend,
Too bad it's just pretend.
You always say you'll be so sad,
But you act like it wouldn't be so bad.

Have you ever felt betrayed?
Like around every bend
They take more than you can lend?
I wish it wasn't true,
But what else can I do?
They are my friends
and I guess they want our story to end.
