Credula vitam spes fovet et melius cras fore semper dicit

Credula vitam spes fovet et melius cras fore semper dicit

A Poem by Violet O'Brien

The rain fell

The day I walked away from you

And my heart sunk

To the bottom of the ocean

So deep that it can not die

Or survive

Stuck in limbo

Just like my feelings

I loved you once

Tried to hand my heart to you

But you didn’t understand

The message got misconstrued

Lost between the static on the radio

Any thing we could say to each other now would never fix things

But then please explain

How do we love each other

If you will never be able to depend on me

And I’ve already thrown away my heart

Sometimes I just pray

For proof that you love me

But where do I look

How do I find the signs

Where is your heart

How could you ever love me

If you have freely admitted you can never depend on me

I am not looking for your weaknesses

I am not looking for the holes underneath your armor

I am simply after fairness

Admitting I am dependant on you

I gave you everything

My heart

My soul

My love

I am simply asking

For the same in return
