A singularity

A singularity

A Poem by Sumi
"

- it's a void, let it mean whatever it wants to, for me it's fear of my future.-

"

Holistically we stand, the right of way in all

Dimensions.

Empirically we strain, a constant wall about our conscious.

I feel it tearing,

The void that leaves our thoughts all floating. It’s light,

Non piercing, taking the path of least resistance as

….I grow old and forget how to see it’s splendor.

Then, out from nowhere somehow penetrating the cold

     Bleak…

               There is an atmosphere.

It grows uncontrollably, our breathing becomes shallow as

oxygen is dispersed farther and farther higher….

We are alone, separate and dieing,

Our hearts are beating faster.

             And time is slowing down,

As I realize how far away we’ve been from

    One another….

            There is one singularity,

One pinpoint infinitesimally small….

Long since gone, and out of sight, at least to hearts

     As small as ours…..

Tunneling through this vastness,

Obscure and out of reach….we search for particles of gas…

And strings that vibrate hums in this language no one understands.

Against my ribs it resounds, sending

explosive signals across a vacuum like plane,

It never ends it’s journey outward…

...Expanding until it defies all law and dies tragically by ice.
