First Impression

Searching for the right thing to say before I hit send
Knowing before me, it's been done a thousand times
With each message a hope that this may be the one to mend
The emptiness in my heart I express through my rhymes

I attempt to stand out so I'm not like all the others
Knowing I am different and have more than most to offer
If given the chance you'd soon discover
I'd treat you like me Queen, which is only proper

I may not be a model, but my heart is beautiful
I'm kind, generous, respectful and loyal
For you to go wanting is inexcusable
A King needs his Queen, we'd be royal

There is no fairytale in real life
Times will get rough and together we will struggle
As long it's not done for the wrong, but the right
We are pieces trying to find our match like a puzzle

A hopeless romantic I continue this search
Beaten and battered my heart aches
High and low I will scour this earth
Still worth the cost for I have everything at stake
