Devil In Disguise

Devil In Disguise

A Poem by Sumo

I found myself in your beautiful stare
And believed you'd always be there

Mesmerized by what I got to view
My world revolved around you

That smile so wild inviting me to join
The author of so many key words we'd coin

Those lips, bringing life to your thoughts
Our story full of twisted plots

Your promises rose me from the dead
Only to end up back instead

A body that begs to be touched
Me the painter and my hand the brush

I admired you up close and from afar
I truly loved you for who you are

I knew your pain and comforted it so
You were my river and I was the flow

I loved your perfection and even your flaws
I heeded your words and made them my laws

I know I too made my share of mistakes
But giving up was nothing I ever wanted to embrace

You said you were strong yet you ran
From this loyal loving man

I would have never stopped trying
It's a shame you believed the lying

Everything I had ever dreamed would never be mine
Was offered to me, too short a time

Eternity would only scratch the surface
Never ending love was my purpose

Hidden beneath those beautiful lies
Laid in waiting my Devil in Disguise

This is a beautiful work of art. It clearly articulated the persons feelings, the way it is worded makes me fell like crying.
