Merry Christmas, Love

Merry Christmas, Love

A Poem by Destiny
"

lol a Christmas present

"

Fill me till I want no more

Hope your not tired, this could be a while

I think of what’s past and what’s in store

In the dark I can feel you smile

Kissing my face like a precious child

Make loose my chains and lay with me

Hold tight as if it were our last

I see that you’re already free

All too soon now shall be the past

Love seems to make the time run fast

Dance, my love, and let it not end

Our hearts shall keep the beat and time

Into the heavens our voices we’ll send

The sweetest song of riddles and rhyme

Whispers of love on the wind they’ll climb

Drown the world in the babbling stream

Wash away our deepest fear

This night’s too right to be a dream

Fate made a date to meet us here

Who are we to interfere?

This night was written in the stars

So pure it freed us both from sin

And proves how much in love we are

And how deep the love that we fell in

Our spirits soar up toward heaven

Destiny
... interesting.
I just noticed that every poem I write with some sort of sexual reference has the word "sin" in it. Hooray for my strict religious upbringing! Sexual in nature this may be, but not so much to warrant a warning. Enjoy.

Very well written. I love this lines;

This night was written in the stars
So pure it freed us both from sin
And proves how much in love we are

This seems very personal...to one person in particular. You have some lovely imagery here.

You might be too tight with the rhyming, but I'm not a poet so this is just a feeling. I think you could make it stronger still if you didn't stick with the rhyme.

Thank you for sharing.

What a great piece of work here to allow some one to gain access to your inner being is both scary and exciting. The new feeling that return and the ones that are new all on their own is both wonderful and inspirational to have overcome you. This was wonderful and a pleasant read.

I wonder about the chains in this line and the freedom he already had. I think this sentence has alot in it that isn't said. This is another great poem of yours a quiet soul with a whole lot of talent.
