Perfection Sat Naked On My Kitchen Floor

Perfection Sat Naked On My Kitchen Floor

A Poem by Destiny

Perfection sat naked on my kitchen floor

Skin smooth as silk and soft as my heart

Perfection...

So broken and bleeding

Receding before my eyes

The pain, the lies, the tears you've cried

Have died and cease to be

So free your mind and leave behind

All but you and me

I’ll adorn your face with kisses

Listless no more

Let’s explore the places

We’ve been yearning for

The world has died

But we’ve survived

Let’s stay and play awhile

Perfection sat naked on my kitchen floor

Shameless and blameless before the Lord

Perfect …

YOUR POEM PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE .IT`S VERY GOOD I THINK EVERYONE HAS BEEN ON THE FLOOR ONCE IN THEIR LIFE TIME. IF NOT THEY JUST MISS OUT. THANK YOU

This is really interesting piece you got there. Somehow, I don't believe in "perfection" because there's no such thing as perfect, just only the one with the imperfections, then it's perfect. Hope you get my meaning?

Anyway, it's still all good tho, so no worries...

It isn't very often that words pull me in like yours did . . . perfection sat naked on my kitchen floor. That's amazing stuff!

:) You being proud of it is a great thing as to me the poem speaks about letting go of pain since the tears have gone and moving forward in the world with the one you love (just my take on it) I think you love writing poetry and your embracing it letting go of the things that stood in your way of freely expressing it. Another great write of yours.
