A Poem by Mariana Silva

This is what I felt like in a relationship...

I am wild and free,

My heart sings in my veins.

Your eyes cannot see who I am

And you do not really care to.

My heart beats like a drum,

And my feet are my sticks.

Your fear holds me back against you,

You are trying to hide yourself.

My hair flows with the wind

Neither breaking nor scared.

Tie me down and lose the only key;

You avoid giving me freedom,

No great fear in my eyes.

My courage feeds my heart,

Please, just let me run awhile,

I promise, I will return soon.

I love my freedom, but,

I love being with you.

Let me show you freedom right now.

Run by my side through all danger,

To really love me true,

Learn to love yourself first.

"To really love me true,
Learn to love yourself first."

True words right there.
This was a beautiful piece with some nice metaphors and similes.
We can see how strong-spirited a woman you are and how you don't want to be held down.

It flows like a river, and reads like a tolstoy novel. I am enthused with the subject matter here...very real and from the heart...good stuff

Love to read and write, so much in fact, there isn't a place where my journal and pen have not followed me because you never know when something will spring forth to be written. Not a prodigy but some.. more..

Honest Honest
