I'll Take This Piece.

I'll Take This Piece.

A Poem by Sorry Infamous

The way you smell wanes
like the post-love pulse
and heat falls short of reaching me
like the tips of your unfettered fingers.
My own hands; vigorous,

flicking ears and pinching pallid skin just to feel

something.

So I went away...

but you
and your feckless kiss
wrestle here against devout ribs
rattling, wind against my glass pane,
This beautiful blight on weathered lips
remains the best breath I ever heeded.

Time slips,
the immortal theif-
It cannot be true.
You are all around me,

still; the background.

I went away...

on bold heels, unhinged
but have traveled nowhere

and learned nothing but to yearn

unbound.

Very nicely written. I like how you express the heartbreak it seems here to me that you have rendered upon yourself?

I really do enjoy a writer who is not afraid to expand on English vocabulary. You find creative ways to write out your thoughts without using common words, which is wonderful :) Great write.

Again your creative way of expressing heartache and disappointment is extraordinary... I am left jaw dropped open after reading this.

You writing is profoundly moving, gripping deep in the mind through powerful bites of emotive expressions. Amazing how you make one feel reading through your words. Simply brilliant!

This is different to your other work that I have read,
It somehow seems much more personal,
But hay, what do I know?
I like it, well done.
