Inside my ChestA Poem by Frank PurcellLearn to take control of your anger - Learn to take control of your life.Inside my chest this anger pounds, Words catch in my throat like strangulated sounds And in my veins my boiling blood Flows like a massive raging flood
In my head with my thoughts unspoken Three cold tears for every promise broken A scared knuckle; each time I’m let down Permanent failure leaves a permanent frown
So I sit here thinking how to let it out of me, Let the anger shout out, and let the world see Let my emotions flow rampant from deep inside No longer having to find a place to hide
So I sit here thinking how to let it out of me, But the real me is not who I wanna be So I know as my anger grows like a swelling bud I must find a way; to calm the flood. © 2011 Frank Purcell |
