My Sonnet

My Sonnet

A Poem by Frank Purcell
"

My first attempt at a Sonnet at the age of 14. Although i know the rhyme scheme AABB is supposed to be ABAB.

"
There's this girl i met just the other day
When we talk, i just don't know what to say
This is just such a different feeling
Feels as if my love-struck heart's stopped beating

I need some proper guidance from above
To help me get through this eternal love
i cant help it, she's always in my mind
This must be love; she a 'one of a kind'

But it seems love doesn't come naturally
Will i love her for an eternity??
I wish i could say this love'll end one day
But its here forever, its here to stay

If it doesnt work maybe we could be friends?
I really hope, what we have, never ends!
