A Poem by Frank Purcell
"

A boy lies dying, and all these questions pass through his mind. They are directed at a girl he has loved his entire life.

"
Do you notice, when Im no longer there
Do you notice, how i always stared
Do you notice, how i smelt the air
As you passed; to smell your hair

Do you notice, they way i often hide
Do you notice, over you i cried
Do you notice, the way i sighed
With ignorance, all was simplified

Did you notice, a tear fall
Did you notice, how i stopped and stalled
Did you notice, I gave it my all
And when i died, it was you i called

Did you hear, me saying please
Did you hear, me pass with ease
Did you hear, my breathing cease
As a tear fell, i hit me knees

Didn't you know, that i was scared
Didn't you know, i was unprepared
Didn't you know. that i always cared
I thought it was over, but my life was spared

Did you see, my breath come back to me
Did you see, that I'd paid a fee
Did you see, that emotionally
You finally saw what i always see

Did you watch, as i then stood
Did you watch, as i lowered my hood
Did you watch, as i understood
When i felt they way, i knew i should

You finally realised, what i saw in you
You finally realised, what you should do
You finally realised, so i was sent back too...
Tell you that, I'm over you.

Author's Note

Frank Purcell
IMPORTANT!!! - A guy falls to his knees and starts passing away, with his last breath he calls out to the girl he's always loved, and the moment he passes, the girl finally realises that he has always been in love with her. At that moment she is crushed, and would live her life with a huge saddness on her shoulders; so the boy is sent back into the world of the living, to tell the girl that he no longer loves her. And then he's gone...

My emotions were stirred with this one. Great job! good thing I read the Important note first or I would have felt differently. Very sweet and tragic story when something is too little too late. I get the message that it's better to let people know how they really feel before it's too late. This could be an awesome story.
