She sits there

She sits there

A Poem by Frank Purcell

Morning after morning, I watch as she watches
Crying her heart out, her eyes left red blotches
She sits there for hours, just watching sunrise
The pain i feel for her, as tears pour from those eyes

Every morning i wake, as the sun hits my face
I look out the window and shes back in her place
She sits on the cliff, with legs pulled under her chin
Bearing her soul she lets the pain flow from within

I watch and I wonder, what pain she went through
And in her million tears, i sometimes cry too
Her ultimate characteristic is her long broken heart
Because no one in her life, ever played their damn part!

Even from my window, a few hundred metres away
I can see the pain she relives at the start of each day
And when she cant get up; once shes fallen down
Ill still be waiting here, to pick her up, off the ground
