Curiosity

i just wrote this because i was bored and I REALLY wanted to write a poem with the word meow in it :) OMG AS I SCROLLED DOWN THE CAPATCHA THING THAT YOU HAVE TO TYPE SAID CHILLCAT!! Im in love.

Meow

The key that kills

click click and I’m off

every crevice of the universe

there for the taking

I want to roll myself in mysteries 

take a bite into the fruit

sweet, sweet flesh, knowledge

hanging, tantalizing, growing,

overcoming, alienating, suffocating 

leaving me full and empty

the intrinsic human drug

my own ecstatic tragedy

and I’m so high 

I could inhale the night sky

maybe I fit the bill

I despise free verse. Yet somehow I'm captivated by this piece. There's a weird beauty in it. Maybe it's the universal truth you speak of or maybe it's the meow at the beginning. No matter what it may be, the bottom line is, I like it.

Meow. I just had to write a review with the word "meow" in it. Now that's twice! LOL
Knowing that you wrote this bored... I can feel the hunger, the hope, the wishfulness, the belief that there is so much out there to be felt, touched, tasted, seen, and consumed with your being. And the e.e.cummings ending filled with doubt and insecurity is perfect. Beautiful and from the soul.
