Make me a boat

Make me a boat

A Poem by Melanie Genevieve
"

more of a journal entry for me than a poem

"
make me a boat out of construction paper
set sail to soft sheets and hot chocolate
Let me live perpetually safe
in the confines of an evening in

moments captured like light in photographs
make me a pale blue dot in a sunbeam
make me so small so all the bigger things
spend time worrying about me instead

but it is a poem, and a fine one...the idea of bigger things worrying about me instead...i like that.

we do sweat the small things...i am going through that now, and am drenched...
i would like to live within the confines of an evening...

a peaceful one.

i related totally to this poem, thank you.
