obscure words

obscure words

A Poem by Sylla Rege'ne

You are the words

Obscurely written

Under the printed text

A graffiti in its own right

Remembering what the print means

Even when the print wears away

Never will you in the margins fade

Only when you are erased--or misplaced

The pages that follow what bear

Massochistic lines without ink

Your handwriting...repeated...

Perfect indents from your pen

Remembering what you've written

I am these lines behind, you, the words

Never on the same page but identical

Carrying on the message, loving

Every little mark
