Dangerous Game

Dangerous Game

A Poem by Syn Michele
"

Self inflicted pain

"

I’ll let you go first

I’ll go last

It’s such a dangerous game we play

I won’t lie and say I’m not afraid

I watch you spin it round and round

I watch you pull the trigger and hit the ground

Such bad luck for you

I guess I should say a prayer for you

Such a harsh lesson to learn

When you play with fire you get burned

I’ll cry for you someday

But I won, luck has gone my way

I won’t celebrate for winning this game

I promise my ego, I will hide away

I’ll remember how you were so brave

The right thing to do is mourn for you

These are the chances we take

When we play these games

Such messy games, so sad such a shame

Farewell
