Wash My Hands

Wash My Hands

A Poem by Emily Irene.

It was an honest mistake;
I got in the way of life,
and it ran me over like I didn't exist.
Things are going better now, and I will tell you this much,
old friend;
life is never fair and life is never good.
But tonight I wash my hands of you,
I wash my hands of you.

i like this poem. it seems to me about releasing a friend you can't save from themselves or that treat you badly. we've all had friends like this. sometimes its best to just 'wash your hands' of them & let them go. well written. short but powerful.
